Scholarship Descriptions & Requirements
- Campus Life ScholarshipsCowboy Parents Scholarship
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at the University. The recipient must have documented financial need and a high school grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Evidence of community service and leadership activities will be taken into consideration during the selection process.
Kent Sampson Endowed Campus Life Scholarship
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at Oklahoma State University and must have a grade point average of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale, with documented financial need. The recipient must provide evidence of involvement in campus leadership and service activities. The award is not available to incoming freshman students.
Aimee Furrie and John Grice Family Endowed Scholarship
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at the University and must have documented financial need. Selection preference will be given to students who demonstrate a commitment to service.
Carisa Winter Endowed Service Award
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at Oklahoma State University. The Carisa Winters Endowed Service Award is an annual award given in memory of Carisa Winters. The recipient should be a student entering their sophomore or junior year at OSU, exhibiting a keen interest in serving individuals, communities and the nation. Preference shall be given to female students. Recipients should possess a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; however, those applicants with a lower GPA and strong service record are encouraged to apply. Further, the recipient must have a demonstrated record of service documented through the OSU Student Volunteer Center and must present the evaluation team with viable concepts that either present new public service opportunities or improve upon previously implemented service projects. This award will allow the recipient to pursue new service ideas, create ways of utilizing those ideas, create new structures for service and delivery and/or target new audiences. The recipient may utilize the funds for the actual project or for academic support through payment of tuition, books, fees and room and board while developing and implementing the project. - Residential Life ScholarshipsJay Jones Residence Hall Association Scholarship
The recipient will be a full-time student at Oklahoma State University. Selection will be based on demonstrated leadership and service to the residence halls, the University and the community, as well as high academic achievement.
The Village Endowed Scholarship
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at Oklahoma State University and must currently reside in the Village on-campus student housing and be returning to the Village the following year unless graduating. Preference shall be given to Construction Management majors, but all residents are encourage to apply.
Capstone Residential Life Endowed Scholarship
Recipients must meet the following criteria for scholarships consideration: 1) live in the residence hall for which the scholarship is named; 2) minimum cumulative 2.5 grade point average; 3) full-time OSU undergraduate student; 4) demonstrate leadership skills through involvement in residence hall activities.
RHA Leader-Scholar Endowed Scholarship
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at Oklahoma State University. The recipient must currently be living in Residential Life housing and be returning to Residential Life housing the following semester, with the exception of graduating seniors. Applicants must complete the application for this scholarship that is distributed by Residential Life.
Kent Sampson Endowed Scholarship
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at Oklahoma State University. Applicants must be currently residing in campus housing, including Family and Graduate Student Housing. The award is open to graduating seniors and graduate students. All other applicants must be returning to campus housing. The recipient must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Lewis B. and Betty Ketchum Scholarship
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at the University and must be a United States citizen. The recipient must be a freshman or sophomore student and will receive an award in the amount of $2,000.00 to assist with housing costs.
Dr. Rebecca Adcock Memorial Scholarship
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at Oklahoma State University. Selection will be based on demonstrated leadership and service to the residence hall house/floor in which the recipient held a leadership role, as well as service to the University and the community. High academic achievement shall also be taken into consideration Recipients may receive the scholarship consecutively, provided he/she continues to be nominated each year. The number of awards and amount of each award will be determined annually by the Selection Committee.
Steve Rogers Scholarship
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at the University. Preference will be given to students who live in campus housing.
Jay and Heidi Mittag Scholarship
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at the University and must be an incoming freshman. The recipient must be enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, must be a resident of the State of Oklahoma and must have documented financial need. In order to be eligible for the award, the recipient must be a resident of Kerr, Drummond, Iba, Parker or Wentz residence halls. The award is renewable for four years provided the recipient continues to meet the selection criteria.
LeeAnna Lamb Residential Life Endowed Scholarship
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at the University. Selection will be based on demonstrated leadership and service to the residence hall in which the person lives, as well as service to the University and the community. High academic achievement shall be taken into consideration. A minimum grade point average of 2.75 is required. The recipient must be returning to the residence halls to receive this award. However, a graduating senior may also be eligible for this award.
Centennial Scholarship Housing and Residential Life Endowment
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at the University. Applicants must write an essay on a topic chosen by the selection committee as part of the application process. Incoming high school grade appoint averages, ACT scores, and financial need will be taken into consideration during the selection process.
Wentz Housing Scholarship
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at the University and must reside in University housing. The recipient must be classified as a freshman or sophomore level student, have a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and documented financial need.
Holly McCoy Endowed Legacy Scholarship
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at the University and must reside in on-campus student housing. The recipient must be planning to return to on-campus housing the following year, unless graduating. Demonstrated leadership and service to the residence hall in which the person lives as well as involvement in residential life activities will be taken into consideration by the Selection Committee. The recipient must have documented financial need. The size of the award and number of awards may be determined at the discretion of the Selection Committee.
Demarest Leader Scholar Award Fund
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time graduate or undergraduate student with a classification of junior or above studying Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Arts or Landscape Architecture at Oklahoma State University. Recipient must have a grade point average higher than 3.0 and have demonstrated leadership in the Oklahoma State University residential hall system. - Student Affairs ScholarshipsBradley A. and Catherine Thompson Family Fund
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at the University with documented financial need, must have a GPA of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale, and must provide evidence of involvement in campus life and campus leadership. First preference will be given to those students enrolled in either the College of Business or the College of Human Sciences. Incoming freshmen are not eligible to receive the award.
Gregory D. Smith Family Endowed Scholarship
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at the University and must be directly impacted by cancer, tumors or have a parent affected by cancer. Selection preference will be given to students with a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. In the event no students are identified using both the requirements and preferences above, the award should be made for the coming academic year by selecting recipients using only the above stated requirements. In the event the scholarship is not awarded in a given year, multiple recipients may be selected the following year. The size of the award and number of awards may be determined at the discretion of the Selection Committee.
Ronald S. Beer Internship Endowment
The recipient must be enrolled as a graduate or undergraduate student at the University and must have accepted an internship eligible for credit at the University in the one of the divisions of Student Affairs or must have completed the prior fall/spring semester at the University and have plans to attend for the semester following their internship. The size of the award and amount of the award may be determined in the discretion of the Selection Committee. In addition, the award may be made at any time, and should not be limited to standard scholarship deadlines and/or payment schedules.
Trey Kertz Scholarship for Cancer Survivors Endowed Fund
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at the University. Preference will be given to students who are cancer survivors and/or have been directly impacted by cancer.
David Alan Bailey, Jr. "DJ" Endowed Scholarship
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at the University and must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of at least a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. The scholarship should be awarded to a student who has been personally affected or whose immediate family member has been affected by cancer. Donor prefers that one student receive the award per year. This scholarship is renewable as long as the scholarship criteria is maintained. The size of the award and number of awards may be determined in the discretion of the Selection Committee.
Andrew M. Steadley Memorial Endowed Scholarship for Service and Leadership
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at the University and a participant in the Student Government Association. Preference will be given to students with financial need who are Sophomores, Juniors or Seniors. - Student Union ScholarshipsUS Foods Scholarship
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at Oklahoma State University and must have been employed as a student worker in the OSU Dining Services for at least one year at the time of the award. The recipient must have a grade point average of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale. As part of the award, the recipient will spend a day with US Foods learning about the company operations.
Abe Hesser Student Union Director's Endowed Scholarship
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at Oklahoma State University. The recipient must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average and must have earned enough credit hours to be classified as a sophomore or above. The scholarship should not be awarded to the same student for consecutive years.
Mercedier Cunningham Endowed Scholarship
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at the University and must be employed by an entity within the Student Union (e.g. University Store, Parking Attendant, etc.) or involved in activities/clubs based in the Student Union (e.g. Student Union Activities Board, Campus Life Services, etc.).
University Dining Services Scholarship Fund
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at Oklahoma State University and must be employed as a student worker in the University dining service. Scholarships may be awarded in such amounts as determined by the selection committee subject to available funds.
