MLK Jr. Celebration at OSU
The OSU MLK Jr. Celebration Committee, Division of Student Affairs and the Division of Institutional Diversity invite you to join us in celebrating one of the most influential civil rights activists
and leaders in U.S. history, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. To honor Dr. King's
legacy, we will sponsor events and contests open to all OSU students, faculty and
staff. Our 2024 celebration will include keynote speakers; an essay contest incorporating The Cowboy Code; a coat drive to give back to the community; and more.

Dr. Darius Prier
Celebration Keynote Speaker
Darius Prier serves as an Inaugural Associate Dean in the College of Education and
Human Sciences at OSU. He is also an associate professor in the School of Educational
Foundations, Leadership and Aviation. Dr. Prier comes from Duquesne University, where
he served as associate professor, associate dean for teacher education, and interim
chair in the Department of Educational Foundations and Leadership. His research investigates
critical transdisciplinary cultural leadership.
Chauntal Dudley
Student Speaker
Chauntal Dudley was born and raised in Oklahoma City and is a senior at OSU majoring
in Interior Design. Dudley is committed to increasing representation in the interior
design industry and hopes to inspire others with her work. She has also served on
the Black Student Association Executive Board, the National Panhellenic Council Executive
Board and is a lifetime member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. Dudley
is incredibly passionate about community involvement and support, which she credits
as being an incredibly important contribution to her success at OSU.
