2024 OSU Student Affairs Distinguished Alumni Award Recipient

Randall Whittaker, a graduate of Mangum High School in Oklahoma, holds a bachelor of arts in English and an masters in Student Personnel and Guidance from Oklahoma State University, as well as a bachelor of science in Business Administration from Wichita State University. His diverse career includes 24 years as the owner and operator of Western Uniform and Towel Service, where he also served as President of both the Southwestern Linen Supply Association and the Kansas Textile Maintenance Association.

 

During his time at OSU, Randall was deeply involved in campus life. He served as President of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, an IFC Senator, and a member of Mu Kappa Tau and the Student Union Activities Board. He worked as a desk clerk and bellman at the Student Union Hotel, taught English 101 and ESL, and interned in Student Affairs. Additionally, Randall facilitated workshops on personal growth and drug awareness, worked as a projectionist for the Allied Arts Film Series, and even modeled for the OSU Art Department.

 

After graduation, Randall's career took him abroad, where he developed curriculum and taught English at King Faisal University in Saudi Arabia, designed training programs for Melli Industries in Iran, and created ESL programs for Raytheon Middle East Systems in Jeddah. Back in the U.S., he taught personal finance through Junior Achievement and served as the Small Business Chairman for the United Way of the Plains in Wichita, Kansas. Randall also contributed to his fraternity as President of the Phi Gamma Delta Housing Corporation and Campaign Chairman for the New House Project.

 

Randall is married to Regna Whittaker, an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and OSU alumna. His hobbies include woodland silvestry, farm maintenance, travel, reading, and collecting stamps and coins.
