Randy Thurman, CPA, CFP®, is the CEO of Retirement Investment Advisors, Inc., a $1.2 billion investment advisory firm. With 38 years of experience as a financial advisor, Randy and his firm have been recognized by more than 38 national publications. He holds a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from Oklahoma State University, and is both a CPA and Certified Financial Planner™.

 

While at OSU, Randy worked tirelessly as a student assistant in the residence halls, not only balancing long hours and academic demands to fund his own education but also making a lasting impact on the campus community. Through his leadership and dedication, he fostered a positive living environment, helped mentor fellow students, and contributed to the smooth operation of the residence halls. He put himself through college by dedicating himself fully to both his work and studies.

 

He has been named in the Cowboy100 for 2021 and 2023, recognizing the influence of entrepreneurial OSU alumni. He has also appeared twice on Fox on Money to discuss investing and wealth-building.

 

Randy is the author of seven books, including the Amazon bestsellers The All-Weather Retirement Portfolio and More than a Millionaire, aimed at helping people build wealth within their values. He has endowed four scholarships and is a member of OSU’s Proud & Immortal Society for donors contributing more than $1 million.

 

Randy is deeply involved in his community, serving on numerous boards, including the Oklahoma College Savings Plan and Oklahoma City Employee Retirement System. He has received several honors, including the Oklahoma Society of CPA’s Volunteer of the Year and Oklahoma’s 55 over 55.

 

Randy enjoys playing pickleball and lives in South Oklahoma City with his wife of 35 years, Pati, and their son, Levi.
