Summer in Stillwater

There’s just something about Stillwater in the summer months. It’s like the small-town charm is amplified. Streets are less busy, people sit outside at Braum’s to enjoy milkshakes at night, cars are parked at Western Fields for the sunset and everything feels like Webster’s definition of peace.

- Visit the Stillwater Farmers’ Market and support local farmers!
- Spend days on the water at Lake Carl Blackwell and Lake McMurty!

- Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge
- Visit Southwest Oklahoma to admire beautiful landscapes and wildlife such as bison and elk! It’s also a great place to hike, rock climb and mountain climb!
- Turner Falls
- Enjoy the 70-foot-high waterfall, and explore caves and campsites with friends!
- Beavers Bend State Park
- Beavers Bend is one of the most popular parks in Oklahoma! It offers a beautiful lake, rivers and perfect hiking spots! The town surrounding it also has cool tourist attractions to visit!
- Pop’s
- Visit the roadside attraction on historic Route 66 in Arcadia, Oklahoma! It is marked by a giant neon sign in the shape of a pop bottle, and inside you’ll find thousands of soda pop flavors to pair with a delicious dinner!
- Little Sahara State Park
- This state park is over 1,600 acres of sand dunes located south of Waynoka in Northwest Oklahoma. The park’s main attraction is dune buggy and ATV riding across the dunes!
