Remuneration

  • Stipend: $1,200 per month
  • Tuition: In and Out of State Tuition Waiver

It is important for members of our community to understand and receive consent, intervene by being an active bystander when necessary, and support victims of sexual violence. 

     

    The graduate assistant will provide support in research, assessment, programming, and overall strategic planning implementation for 1 is 2 Many. 

     

    The position will work with 1 is 2 Many to:

    • Co-advise 1 is 2 Many Peer Educators and Student Advisory Board; attending and facilitating bi-weekly meetings and various events and individual student meetings throughout the year.
    • Promote, coordinate, and facilitate in-person and virtual volunteer opportunities for students.
    • Research and develop evidence-informed educational outreach programs directed toward the Oklahoma State University community. Topics should focus on sexual violence prevention including dating violence, domestic violence, sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, and stalking as well as bystander intervention and other related topics.
    • Provide prevention and awareness education for students through in person and virtual outlets.  Programs should be culturally applicable and illustrate society’s current events and perspectives.  
    • Collaborate and support other offices’ programming efforts surrounding sexual violence and sexual health.
    • Assist in supporting the prevention development in the 1 is 2 Many Strategic Plan.
    • Keep up to date on relevant cultural issues regarding sexual violence prevention and response.
    • Maintain detailed records in every area of responsibility
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Graduate student, preferably in college student development program, full-time enrollment
    • Interest in sexual assault prevention/awareness.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work and collaborate with diverse groups.
    • Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects with detail.
    • Demonstrate self-direction, creativity and strategic thinking.
    • Work effectively with individuals and teams. 
    • Exhibit attention to detail and high degree of openness to new approaches and ideas.
